Base salary will be in the range of $97,268 - $104,348 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 6)

Join a collaborative and future-focused Faculty of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (HASS) as a Senior Student Success Officer and play a pivotal role in shaping the experience of students studying in the Bachelor of Arts, UQ’s largest and most diverse degree. Working within the HASS Student Futures team and collaborating closely with the Learning Design team, you will help create an inclusive, supportive and inspiring environment where students feel connected, empowered and equipped to thrive academically, socially and professionally. In line with UQ’s vision of creating change together, you will contribute to meaningful initiatives that strengthen belonging, support student success and enhance graduate outcomes.

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Design and deliver co-curricular programs and engagement initiatives that foster student belonging, peer connection and success, particularly for first-year Bachelor of Arts students.
Strengthen partnerships between students, alumni and industry to enhance career readiness, professional networks and future employment opportunities.
Support student success through early intervention initiatives, academic recovery activities and targeted engagement strategies.
Collaborate with students, alumni, academic staff and professional services teams to co-design projects, evaluate outcomes and drive continuous improvement.
An undergraduate degree in Arts, Education, or related fields or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
Experience creating or supporting programs that help students succeed at university.
Experience planning and running events, including the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Experience working with students to design and deliver projects together.
Strong interpersonal skills, particularly collaborating with colleagues and alumni from different areas.
Experience analysing data and writing clear, accurate reports.
