Job Description

Senior Student Advising Officer (at the rank of Administrative Assistant II) / Student Advising Officer (at the rank of Executive Officer) in the Dean’s Office of the Centre of Development and Resources for Students (CEDARS)(Ref: 536257),to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal.

Applicants should possess a good University degree, preferably in Communications, Business, Public Relations or Marketing, with at least 5 years’ relevant work experience in the higher education sector or a public/quasi-public organisation.

Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese, IT proficiency, strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential. They should have solid background on event and project management and institutional advancement, be able to multi-task independently and under pressure, lead a small team to achieve qualified deliverables. Experience in stakeholder relationships, introduction of new technology to new initiatives, database management, with knowledge in design and application would be an advantage.

The appointee will be responsible for (1) leading a small team to deliver a wide variety of initiatives and events at CEDARS, (2) curating and leading new initiatives from scratch; and (3) preparation of reports and proposals for pitching. He/She will line up prospective collaboration, work closely with key internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to students, administrative offices, institutional partners, vendors and community organisations.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
