Job Description

We are searching for a Structured Products Trader to join our Flow & Derivatives Trading Desk, with a strong focus on optionality-driven topics in Southern Europe. In this role, you will be working closely with Origination teams in Spain and Italy managing the power and gas trading activities. This is a unique opportunity to combine analytical expertise with commercial acumen in one of the most dynamic energy markets.


Your accountabilities

  • Pricing Excellence: Apply and enhance pricing tools to manage deal flow with a focus on PPAs, VPPs and other structures from Italian and Spanish counterparties.
  • Trading Management: Oversee positions across the energy curve, capturing value through country and time spreads.
  • Strategic Trading: Design and execute trading ideas, expressing market views through innovative strategies.
  • Collaboration: Contribute to the team’s business development on optionality related topics by supporting traders with experience on more linear products.
  • Market Insight: Monitor market trends and developments, delivering actionable insights to guide trading decisions.

Your profile

  • 7-10 years of Energy Trading experience, focused on structured, asset-backed, and optionality-driven deals in the Italian or Spanish markets.
  • Deep expertise in options trading, with a strong grasp of pricing, volatility, and strategy.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive mindset with a proven ability to spot and seize trading opportunities.
  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
  • Fluency in English; Italian, Spanish or Portuguese are a strong plus.
