Step into a senior technical leadership role where your structural expertise helps shape essential water and wastewater infrastructure across Canada. Based in our Thornhill office, this opportunity allows you to lead complex designs, mentor the next generation of engineers, and contribute to projects that protect communities and the environment.

Your Impact

  • Lead structural engineering analysis and design for water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, reservoirs, underground liquid‑retaining structures, solid waste transfer stations, and waste landfills.
  • Deliver complete structural designs for single buildings or multi‑facility infrastructure sites using industry‑standard software and engineering judgment.
  • Translate analytical results into clear markups and technical direction for BIM modellers and drafters.
  • Support project delivery through specifications development, cost estimates, and interdisciplinary coordination.
  • Provide support to project management, design management, and business development pursuits.
  • Perform site visits, condition assessments, and structural rehabilitation evaluations for new and existing facilities.
  • Provide construction support, including shop drawing reviews, RFIs, and site instructions.
  • Mentor and guide early‑career engineers, supporting technical excellence and professional growth.

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, with 10+ years of structural design experience in water, wastewater, or solid waste facilities.
  • P.Eng. designation with PEO (or eligibility with EGBC or APEGA).
  • Strong working knowledge of Canadian and international codes including OBC, NBCC, CSA A23/A23.3, CSA S16, CSA S900.2, and ACI 350.
  • Proficiency with structural analysis software such as STAAD.Pro, S‑Frame, and CSI products, with working knowledge of BIM360 and Revit.
  • Proven ability to lead structural design tasks, manage budgets and schedules, and meet client‑driven deadlines.
  • Experience collaborating across Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, and Architectural disciplines.
  • Confidence conducting field inspections and construction‑phase engineering support.
  • Master’s degree in Structural Engineering and/or PMP designation considered an asset.
