Senior Structural Design Engineer - Airframe

We are looking for a Senior Design Engineer with extensive aviation industry experience. This position is perfect for you if you want to contribute to a clean sheet composite aircraft design.

Main responsibilities:

• Design and detail the aircraft's composite internal and external primary and secondary structure, including interior furnishing.
• Create CAD models and drawings of aircraft structural components.
• Generation of fabrication and assembly work instructions.
• Break down the airframe requirements in compliance with EASA CS-23.
• Manage the airframe’s interfaces with other systems.
• Source, meet and select the best partners for production of the airframe.
• Perform testing at the workshop or at a supplier's premises.
• During aircraft assembly, take an active role in installing the various aircraft systems on the airframe.

Your profile:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Design or equivalent experience.
• Industry experience designing composite aircraft structures
• Exposure to composite manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of aviation certification regulations and standards.
• Solid understanding of composite material characteristics and processes
• Proficiency with CAD (at Elfly we use Onshape).
• Fluent in English, written and spoken.
• Safety-oriented attitude.
• Work in a structured and organised manner.
• Able to take initiative, ownership and responsibility.
