Do You Dream of a Career with Global Impact and Visibility in an Ambitious and Growing Company?

Hempel’s Accelerate to Win strategy sets a bold direction for faster, focused growth, and we are now looking for a Senior Strategy Manager to help turn this ambition into tangible results. With our commitment to maximising customer value and building a winning portfolio, you will help strengthen the impact of our already high‑performing strategy team and help drive the initiatives that matter most. Working across segments and functions, you will translate strategic priorities into clear plans, decisions, and measurable outcomes. You will sit at the centre of our strategy execution engine - turning data into insight, insight into action, and ensuring disciplined follow-through on what matters most.

You will be working closely with the Executive Group Management (EGM) and senior stakeholders across the business.

What Will Your Responsibilities Include?

As a Senior Strategy Manager at Hempel, you will play a pivotal role in translating our corporate strategy into tangible, high‑impact initiatives. You will lead selected projects across our Value Creation Plan and strategic priorities, ensuring they are executed with precision and deliver measurable business outcomes. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong execution skills, capable of navigating complex stakeholder landscapes and driving cross‑functional collaboration.

Depending on the initiative, you will work across our global Segments - Marine, Energy & Infrastructure, and Decorative - as well as key Functional areas, acting as a catalyst for change and a steward of strategic development. Your ability to think both long-term and short-term and connect the dots between vision and delivery will be critical in shaping Hempel’s long‑term success.

  • Initiative leadership Own and drive the development, planning, and execution of strategic initiatives that support Hempel’s Value Creation Plan and long‑term objectives.

  • Cross‑business collaboration Lead initiatives spanning segments and functions, fostering alignment and shared accountability, execution impact and supporting business units in achieving their targets.

  • Governance & performance Design and implement governance structures and KPIs to track progress, resolve bottlenecks, and ensure timely delivery.

  • Risk management Identify execution risks proactively and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard outcomes.

  • Strategic communication Deliver clear, compelling updates to internal and external stakeholders, to enable high impact decisions and ultimately value creation

  • Change enablement Support change management efforts to embed strategic initiatives into the organisation’s operating rhythm.

What Sets You Apart?

  • Master’s degree in economics, business, engineering, or a related field

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a strategy role in a Tier 1 consulting firm or an in‑house corporate strategy or transformation function

  • Proven and exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills across the organisation on all levels

  • Fluency in English required; additional languages are beneficial

  • Strong financial and analytical acumen — comfortable working with KPIs, financial data, and performance metrics

  • Exceptional PowerPoint and storytelling skills — able to structure messages clearly and influence senior stakeholders

  • Ability to structure ambiguity, synthesise insights, and drive action

  • High ownership mindset — you take responsibility for outcomes, not just analysis

  • Proven track record of leading complex strategic initiatives, driving cross‑functional execution, and delivering measurable business impact

  • Experience leading high‑visibility strategic initiatives with significant influence

You thrive in a collaborative environment and bring a team‑first mindset, working seamlessly with colleagues across functions and levels.
