About the opportunity

The Enterprise Strategy team drives the delivery of Australia Post’s enterprise strategy and supports the Business Units on major initiatives, strategy and planning to deliver organisational transformation.

The Senior Strategy Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the delivery of Australia Post’s enterprise strategy by contributing high quality strategic analysis and insights that guide decision making across the organisation. This is an individual contributor role focused on owning and delivering complex analytical work with accuracy, structure, and attention to detail.

What you’ll deliver with us

  • Support enterprise‑wide and business unit initiatives that enable transformation and strengthen Australia Post’s ability to safely and reliably connect people, communities and businesses across Australia
  • Deliver high‑quality strategic analysis and insights to inform enterprise priorities, business unit objectives, and decision‑making
  • Support leaders and cross‑functional teams by framing complex, ambiguous problems into clear, actionable components, supported by robust data and evidence‑based insights
  • Contribute to the development of compelling hypotheses, storylines and executive‑ready materials, including presentations, Board papers and Executive Committee submissions
  • Perform complex quantitative modelling and financial and non‑financial analysis (e.g. market and competitor trends, cost and profitability analysis) to assess the costs, benefits, risks and value drivers of strategic options

About you

You’re a highly analytical and commercially minded strategy professional with experience in enterprise strategy, corporate planning, management consulting, or a similar environment. You thrive in complexity and enjoy turning ambiguous problems into clear, evidence‑based insights that support senior decision‑making.

You’ll also demonstrate

  • Proven experience delivering high‑quality strategic, quantitative and financial analysis to inform enterprise‑level priorities and business unit objectives
  • Strong problem‑structuring capabilities, with the ability to develop clear hypotheses, storylines and options supported by robust data
  • Experience preparing executive‑ready materials, including presentations, Board papers and Executive Committee submissions
  • Well‑developed stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and work effectively with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams
  • Advanced analytical skills, including quantitative modelling and analysis of financial and non‑financial data (e.g. market dynamics, cost and profitability analysis)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting complex concepts to executive audiences
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, and a strong attention to detail and data integrity

How we’ll deliver for you

  • Join one of the most culturally and linguistically diverse workforces in Australia, with people of all ages, genders and walks of life
  • We deliver on our values of Trust, Inclusivity, Empowerment and Safety every day. They’re the TIES that bind our team together
  • Immerse yourself in the AP Way – where every single team member partakes in a learning module to help understand the vital role we play in delivering on our strategy and purpose
