Let's start with the role

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Strategic Business Analyst to be a key member of our Business Analysis team, situated within the Strategy Division. This is an individual contributor role for an experienced professional who can operate with a high degree of autonomy and provide guidance to less experienced members of the team.

In this role, you will be pivotal in shaping the BA function through your expertise and by mentoring your colleagues. You will work closely with key stakeholders across Kaizen to gather, document, and analyze business requirements for our most complex and strategic initiatives.

A key part of your role will be to foster very strong stakeholder relationships built on trust You’ll be at the heart of our project lifecycle, where your analytical output will serve as a critical input for the PMO, guiding the development of project charters, Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), and other key strategic deliverables The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a passion for developing processes, and an eagerness to embed a culture of continuous improvement.

As a Senior Strategic Business Analyst, you will:

• Lead and conduct complex analyses and requirements-gathering exercises through workshops, interviews, and collaboration with key stakeholders.
• Establish and champion best practices for creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
• Mentor and guide less experienced Business Analysts, acting as a subject matter expert and supporting their professional growth.
• Contribute significantly to the development of the BA function by helping to define and refine methodologies, tools, and standardized processes within the target operating BA framework.
• Build and maintain trusting relationships with senior stakeholders, acting as a key strategic partner to influence and guide decision-making.
• Develop deep business-specific market, product and customer knowledge to inform your analysis, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
• Lead the creation of compelling business cases in support of various strategic initiatives.
• Communicate and present complex findings and recommendations to senior leadership in an effective and digestible manner, leveraging data and business insights to drive action.
• Act as a primary liaison between the business and the PMO, ensuring a seamless handover of analysis.

What you’ll bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration, Computer Science or a related field. A Master’s degree will be considered a plus.
• At least 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Consultant or similar, with a proven track record of working on complex projects.
• Proven experience in mentoring others or leading complex project streams is essential.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain trusting relationships at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
• Proven experience in leading business analysis for cross-functional initiatives across multiple departments.
• Deep experience in gathering, documenting, and validating business requirements. Experience in contributing to the development of BA frameworks, processes, and tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a high level of critical thinking and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with online sports betting and casino products will be considered a plus.
• A professional certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) will be considered a strong advantage.
• Ability to work independently on complex strategic initiatives while providing guidance and support to colleagues.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage a personal portfolio of complex projects and deadlines.
• Highly motivated, proactive, and dedicated to fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
• Resilience and adaptability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to see the bigger picture and connect analytical findings to business outcomes.
