Qualcommis seeking a Senior Storage&Backup engineerwith3 to 5years ofexperience inoperating andmanagingmulti-vendor large scale Storage and BackupInfrastructureProficiencyin storagetechnologies includingNetApp, Dell, Pure, VASTand Backup systems including Cohesity, Veeam, NetBackupand Networker.

This person will be a member of a global247/365 IT infrastructureOperations team focused on enterprise Storage, backup, and recovery. This role specificallyfocusesprimarily on administrating and providing support for Enterprise Storage &Data protectionand recovery Our Senior IT engineers can expect to work withcutting edgetechnology in a large, fast-paced, and dynamic enterprise environment.

Responsibilities:

•Provides Tier1/Tier2 support tothe storage and backup technologies infrastructure.

•85-with mandatoryon-call participationon weekends and holidays on a rotational basis.

• This is a100%work from office position

•Monitorand troubleshoot service availability, capacity, and reliability.

• Efficiently handle performance issues on storage and backup systems

•MonitoringBackup systems for backup/restore failures and resolution ondailybasis.

• Involvement incriticalincidents andcollaborationwith multiple teams, vendor supportforfast and qualityresolution.

•Upgrade/ Patch management of Storage and Backup systems.

• Addressing Tickets (incidents, ChangesandService Requests) in ServiceNowwith defined SLA/ KPI

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and technologies.

• Skilled in generating custom reports/dashboards and Knowledgebase documentation.

• Working with various vendors

Prospective candidate should be technically sound in the following

• Provision, migration and decommission of Storage and Backup systems

• NetApp cluster mode, Dell Isilon,Pure Storageand VAST Storage

• Cohesity DataProtect,Dell EMC Networker, Veeam, NetBackup

• Tape libraries from vendors like Oracle andSpectra logicor similar

•SnapmirrorSnapvaultand Disaster Recovery (including Disaster Recovery of Backup catalogs)

• Knowledge onServerOS (Linux and/or Solaris)

• Relevant storage certifications (i.e.NetApp Certified Data Administrator),Dell, Pure,Cohesity or similar.

Prospective candidates having following is an added advantage

• Strong knowledge of automation methodologies, scripting languages, and tooling.

• Scripting knowledge (Bash, Perl, Python or PowerShell)

• Basic knowledge on Splunk queries and Splunkdashboards

• Any other skills that support storage and backup, not covered above.

• Basic knowledge on Ansible is desired.

• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently while making sound decisions

• Willingness to learnnew technologiesand processes, quickly and apply them.

• Ability to work seamlessly with both vendors and internal stakeholders

• Collaborate with cross-functional team to achieve common objectives

•Identifyand drive efficiency improvement initiatives

• Ability to escalate critical issues to internal and/or 3rd-parties, asappropriate, and communicate status and resolution to the team.

• Comfortable working in a performance-based and structured environment whiledemonstratinghigh ethical standards

• Good knowledge of industry tools

Minimum Qualifications:

3+years of IT-related work experience with abachelor’sdegree.

OR

5+ years of IT-related work experience witha master’sdegree.
