General Ledger department is in charge of General Accounting, Global Fixed Assets & Intercompany Operations and Statutory & Compliance activities for Motorola’s entities in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation of annual, statutory financial statements - for local legal entities based in the EMEA region
Coordination Supporting the external audit process - preparation of answers to external auditor requests, coordinating the gathering of requests from other departments, calculation of statutory adjustments etc.
Gathering of input data for the purpose of preparation of CIT calculations by external advisors
Preparation of VAT declarations based on data gathered from various sources
Preparation of other locally required filings and reports - with the help internal and external experts whenever required
Analysis of movements on the entity’s trial balance sheet - month on month
Review and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
Close cooperation with local finance teams and management
Ensuring documentation of all processes is in place
Other accounting tasks as determined by the GL Manager/Team Lead
At least two years experience in audit or financial reporting area
Understanding of tax concepts (CIT, VAT)
University degree in Finance or Accounting
Very good command of written and spoken English language - essential
Attention to detail
Ability to work under time pressure
Very good Excel and MS Office skills
Excellent communication skills, ability to interact with Finance and non-Finance staff at various levels
Ability to work in an intense, fast paced and multinational work environment
