• Salary relative to experience and ranges from $102,936 - $113,579 p.a + super

We are looking for a Senior Status Officer who enjoys solving complex problems, making sense of evidence and helping find clear, practical ways forward on land status matters.

The role

Your work will involve investigating complex land status matters, analysing historical and contemporary records, and preparing accurate, evidence-based advice to support land administration decisions across NSW.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Senior Status Officer, your work will focus on investigating complex land status matters and preparing accurate, evidence-based advice to support land administration decisions across NSW.

You will:

• Investigate and analyse complex historical and contemporary land information from manual, digital and spatial records.
• Assess the validity, reliability and relevance of information used to determine land status and tenure outcomes.
• Plan and undertake thorough investigations, applying appropriate research methods to ensure outcomes are accurate, defensible and fit for purpose.
• Prepare clear, well-reasoned reports, correspondence and documentation that explain investigation findings and support decision-making.
• Work with colleagues and stakeholders to clarify information, resolve issues and support consistent land administration outcomes.
• Contribute to improvements in reporting, records and administrative systems to support efficient, accurate and consistent search and investigation processes.

• Is keen to build and apply specialist knowledge of the legislation and administrative frameworks that support Crown land, land status, tenure and related records in NSW.
