AstraZeneca is a global, science-led, patient-focused pharmaceutical company that focuses on the research, development, and commercialisation of prescription medicines. We aim to transform the lives of patients with improved outcomes and a better quality of life. But we’re more than one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies. At AstraZeneca, we 're dedicated to being a Great Place to Work.
Are you ready to turn world-class programming into decisions that bring medicines to patients faster? As a Senior Statistical Programmer I, you will lead study and project-level programming that underpins clinical evidence, regulatory submissions and safety insights, translating complex protocols into reliable, inspection-ready outputs.
You will own delivery for clinical studies, orchestrating SAS, R and Python code and using AI-enabled solutions to scale quality and speed. Your judgement will set standards, your mentorship will lift others, and your work will influence protocol design, analysis choices and how results are communicated. Do you see yourself shaping best of industry practices in a dynamic environment while delivering tangible results for clinicians, regulators and patients?
We thrive in an environment where unknowns are common and change is constant. You will combine rigor with curiosity, navigating a rules-focused setting while finding inventive routes to get the right work done, at pace & with purpose.
Here, your code becomes evidence that changes lives. You will collaborate with diverse experts who challenge and support each other, bringing different perspectives into the same room to spark bold thinking and better solutions. With access to modern tooling, AI-assisted workflows and enterprise-scale data, you will deepen your craft while influencing decisions across multiple therapy areas. We value kindness alongside ambition, and we recognize outcomes, learn from setbacks and give you the freedom to improve processes that matter—so your impact is both immediate and enduring for patients worldwide.
Bring your SAS, R, Python and AI skills to a team where your programming shapes pivotal evidence—step in and help accelerate life-changing medicines today!
When we put unexpected teams in the same room, we unleash bold thinking with the power to inspire life-changing medicines. In-person working gives us the platform we need to connect, work at pace and challenge perceptions. That's why we work, on average, a minimum of three days per week from the office. But that doesn't mean we're not flexible. We balance the expectation of being in the office while respecting individual flexibility. Join us in our unique and ambitious world.
