What's exciting about the role

The Senior Staff Technical Program Manager is an executive-facing role driving the delivery of Verifone's most complex, cross-functional engineering programs. You will own 2–3 large-scale programs simultaneously, bring rigor to roadmap and milestone planning, and ensure progress is communicated transparently to senior leadership — all while staying ahead of emerging technologies shaping the future of payments.

Skills and Experience we desire

  • Drive execution of 2–3 large-scale, cross-functional programs with executive visibility — delivering transparently and predictably.
  • Lead roadmap planning, sprint planning, and backlog prioritization in partnership with engineering and product teams.
  • Identify and proactively manage program risks across the portfolio, collaborating with team leaders to mitigate issues early.
  • Participate in R&D activities and early adoption of bleeding-edge technologies within Verifone's product suite.
  • Prepare and deliver regular program status reports, tracking key milestones and holding teams accountable.
  • Travel up to 10% to engineering offices across the U.S., London, Montevideo, and other locations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field (or foreign equivalent).
  • 5+ years of experience in Technical Program Management or a related role, with demonstrated proficiency in:
    • Financial Management, including software capitalization automation
    • Data Analysis in support of engineering and program decisions
    • Engineering productivity metrics and contract management tooling
    • OpsGenie, Slack, and JIRA; evaluative metrics including Uptime, MTTR, and MTTD
    • Scrum and Kanban methodology
