Senior Staff Technician Failure Analysis

Your role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Analyze and troubleshoot IC (Integrated Circuit) failures using various equipment and techniques such as Cross Sectioning, X-Ray Imaging, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Scanning Acoustic Microscopy (SAM), Bond Shear Testing, Microscopy, and other related failure analysis processes.
• Perform hands-on failure analysis activities according to established work instructions for each process, and accurately summarize and report analysis results.
• Operate analytical instruments and electrical equipment in accordance with operating procedures.
• Input, process, and record analysis data into the computer system for each request, including start and completion times, within the required turnaround time.
• Support the team in achieving departmental KPI targets and perform other duties assigned by supervisors.
• Prioritize tasks effectively and work efficiently under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Coordinate with internal maintenance technicians and work closely with supervisors to improve existing fixtures and equipment.
• Comply with company quality policies and standards.
• Follow Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) management systems and requirements.
• Adhere to business ethics and corporate social responsibility (CSR) policies.

• Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
• Diploma (Higher Vocational Certificate) in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in the semiconductor industry and IC failure analysis.
• Experience in failure analysis of IC or semiconductor devices.
• Knowledge and understanding of analytical tools and techniques such as SEM, SAM, X-Ray Imaging, Bond Shear Testing, etc.
• Hands-on working ability with strong attention to detail.
• Normal vision and ability to distinguish colors accurately.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and reporting skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
