Job Description

In this role, you will lead the techno-functional delivery of Supply Chain and/or Manufacturing execution processes/modules across the Power business’s ERP landscape. The Sr. Staff Technical Product Manager will serve as the custodian of the Target Process Model for Materials Management (MM) and/or Production Planning (PP), ensuring consistent solutioning across our global ERP platforms. You will partner directly with DT Enterprise Solutions Leadership/Process Excellence/ Business Teams/Partners to set goals and objectives for business outcomes, align on critical design decisions, and prioritize deployment and continuous improvement initiatives. This position acts as the Product Owner /Project Manager for the SAP MM/PP space, responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining application integrity to support global manufacturing and procurement operations in ERP deployments. You will foster strong working relationships across the Plan-to-Produce and Source-to-Pay Centers of Excellence. Ultimately, this role is accountable for the delivery of robust ERP capabilities that enable functional stakeholders to realize maximum value from our SAP ecosystem.

Job Responsibilities

  • Process Ownership:Own the "Plan-to-Produce" or "Source-to-Pay" process models, driving digital transformation initiatives within the Materials Management and Production Planning domains.
  • Solution Design:Design, configure, and maintain SAP MM/PP components (including MRP, BOM management, Capacity Planning, and Inventory Management) as a Technical Product Owner.
  • Strategy & Migration:Lead and execute ERP migrations, moving legacy platforms (e.g., BaaN, Infor, or custom tools) to our strategic SAP environment.
  • Architecture Leadership:Manage technical architecture analysis, research, design, and integration of new functionalities within the SAP ecosystem.
  • Team Guidance:Provide architecture and design oversight to development teams, ensuring adherence to SAP Solution Extensions and global best practices.
  • Integrity Management:Ensure technical integrity of projects by leveraging common technical elements and preventing redundant or siloed developments.
  • Roadmap Definition:Participate in the definition of the global ERP product roadmap and strategy.
  • Stakeholder Influence:Manage stakeholder communication and progress reporting, acting as a bridge between technical execution and business requirements.
  • Mentorship:Mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership to the global SAP Product Council.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, IT, Computer Science, or Engineering.
  • Professional IT experience with established leadership credentials across SAP ERP product lines.

Desired Characteristics

Technical Expertise

  • Deep, hands-on experience with the SAP MM or PPsuite of products (including sub-modules like WM/EWM or Shop Floor Control/Quality Module).
  • Experience in at least five full life-cycle SAP ERP projects (planning, analysis, design, build, test, deploy).
  • Strong process knowledge across the Procurement-to-Pay (P2P)or Plan-to-Produce (P2P)cycles, including integration with SAP Financials (FICO) and Project Systems (PS).
  • Experience with global configuration and highly integrated, multi-site SAP architectures.

Leadership & Business Acumen

  • Proven ability to work with executive-level stakeholders to define IT strategy and manage complex project portfolios.
  • Skilled at breaking down business problems into technical roadmaps; proven ability to negotiate and align cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates deep knowledge of emerging manufacturing/supply chain technologies and their integration with SAP.
  • Change-oriented; actively generates process improvements and champions initiatives in complex, multi-national environments.
  • Customer-focused mindset; evaluates every architectural decision through the lens of operational efficiency and value realization.
