DTC’s many software engineering teams build applications for the web, mobile, tablets, connected TVs, consoles, and other streaming devices. Every customer starts their wonderful journey into the world of WBD through DTC’s Partner Integrations team. We ensure customers can seamlessly authenticate and authorize across all WBD brands. We are a fast-growing, global engineering group crucial to WBD’s future.

We have setup an India Development Center to better support our global streaming services andassistinternational teams. We are looking for aSeniorStaff Engineer to join the India Partner Integrations team and enable the global expansion of our services.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Hasa track recordof designing, building, andoperatingmultiple high-performance, stable, scalable platform systems that have been successfully shipped to customers in production — including global-scale services across non-prod and prod environments.

  • Drives best practices and sets standards for multiple teams within a platform domain — not only their immediate team — including engineering excellence, operational excellence, and security best practices with a high bar for protecting customer data.

  • Is a key influencer in domain and org-level strategy, contributing significantly to multi-quarter planning, roadmap prioritization, and technical vision alongside engineering and product leadership.

  • Shows strong judgment making trade-offs between immediate and long-term business needs — including build vs. extend vs. deprecate decisions and when to invest in novel solutions versus extending existing systems.

  • Is a results-driven, creative thinker who drives innovation and produces delightful, reliable experiences for customers at scale.

  • Is an advocate for data-driven decision-making, has insatiable curiosity, and loves to invent and innovate to solve difficult, ambiguous problems —modelingthisbehaviorfor others.

  • Has a strong point of view butremainsopen-minded; drives consensus on architectural and technical direction across strong technical peers in global, distributed teams through clear influence and sound judgment.

  • Takes ownership of outcomes in a fast-paced environment and consistently delivers durable results — judged as much on personal impact as on the positive effect on engineers and teams around them

  • Is a collaborative technical leader who makes other engineers more productive by sharing knowledge, simplifying complicated concepts, and tie-breaking key technical decisions when teams are stuck.

  • Plays a leading role in designing and developing major functional and architectural changes to existing software systems or new ones — involving themselves and engineers across team boundaries

  • Troubleshoots complex production issues by reviewing source code, logs, operational metrics, stack traces, and traces to pinpoint root cause, resolve incidents, and identifysystemic learnings that improve development processes, runbooks, playbooks, and system design.

  • Provides guidance on design, coding, operational best practices, and technical documentation — including LADRs/ADRs and operational runbooks that enable teams tooperateindependently.

  • Proposes and creates best practices proactively where none exist — including self-serve workflows withappropriate guardrails when manual or ad hoc processesdon'tscale.

  • Makes high-impact decisions driving how and what software gets built — including standards for large-volume transaction systems and data migration workflows, with focus on quality, precision, and accuracy metrics.

  • Establishes and improves data-driven infrastructure and service KPIs — performance, scale, availability, reliability, security — and uses them to guide prioritization and technical investment.

  • Mentorsengineers through Senior Software Engineer and Staff Engineer levels, overseeing designs, code quality, integration, and growth; provides input to leadership on development needs, growth opportunities, and promotion readiness.

  • Brings operational depth — on-call rotation, incident response, playbooks — and helps lead or coordinate cross-team incidents when impact spans multiple services or teams.

What to Bring

  • Bachelor's degree with 13–16+ years of total software development experience; strong CS fundamentals.

  • Deep hands-on experience in Golang (preferred) andproficiencyinadditionallanguages.

  • Experience and deep understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS (or comparable cloud provider experience; AWS preferred).

  • Strong technical understanding of Kubernetes-based microservice architectures, messaging services, database services, API gateways, service mesh, and infrastructure-as-code technologies and processes.

  • Great understanding of distributed systems challenges, microservice-based architectures, and asynchronous communication (e.g., gRPCand Kafka).

  • Ability to implement alerting, metrics, and logging using tools such as Prometheus, CloudWatch, Kibana, PagerDuty — and to operationalize observability into actionable KPIs.

  • Practical knowledge of persistence and caching solutions such as PostgreSQL, Redis,ElasticSearch, Caffeine

  • Familiarity with asynchronous, non-blocking, functional/reactive programming; hands-on experience with frameworks such as SpringWebFlux,Vert.x, Node.js

  • Proven experience building andoperatingglobal-scale platform services in production and non-production environments.

  • Track recordof meaningful contribution to technical vision, strategy, and execution in platform systems — influencing outcomes beyond a single team's backlog.

  • Experience with large-volume transaction systems and data migration workflows, with emphasis on quality, precision, accuracy, and regression safety.

  • Knack for operationalizing workflows into self-serve systems withappropriate guardrails

  • Operational experience — on-call, incident response, playbooks — and comfort collaborating effectively with remote peers across geographies and time zones

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with particular emphasis on technical documentation and clear explanation of complex ideas to varied audiences.
