We are looking for a Senior Staff, Process Technology, to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will be based in Juinagar, India. This is a fully on-site, in office role 5 days a week. Role may entail travel within India, US, Europe and Asia.

In this role, you will lead the process engineering design and development of ‘outside the energy server’ systems suitable for large scale deployment, including carbon capture, heat integration. You will eventually build an India team to deliver such systems for multiple projects and closely work with Global teams. You will lead process engineering for Balance of Plant systems development and standardization such as gas and water distribution, and airflow management. This position will work closely with the Technology development, product validation and the Installation teams, as well as any potential external engineering consultant firms.

The ideal candidate has a combination of hands-on experience, leading process engineering for large scale systems, product design and leadership skills; particularly rich experience in process industry, carbon capture technologies, plant utility process design and understanding of standardization of designs.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Develop robust, scalable and modular designs for Balance of Plant of next-generation Bloom energy systems including Carbon Capture and Heat Integration
  • Own Concepts ready for deployment for these systems for Gigawatt sites
  • Work on process modeling to build optimal systems and work closely with Installation team to ensure all critical requirements are met in the large-scale deployment
  • Develop/Contribute towards process engineering deliverables such as PFDs, P&IDs, process safety designs and procedures, equipment specifications, HAZOP, etc.
  • Lead investigations into system quality issues, lifetime or reliability problems as discovered, mitigate future issues with root cause understanding.
  • Lead and manage the performance and regulatory testing
  • Manage and collaborate with key suppliers (both internal and external) and engineering consultants to support FEED development of standard systems

Skills and Experience:

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering, with evidence of exceptional ability
  • 12+ years of process technology engineering experience in various phases of development such as concept development, pre-FEED, FEED, Detailed Design
  • Proficient in developing, reviewing, and interpreting core engineering deliverables, including Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), electrical one‑line diagrams, and equipment specifications, and possess a strong understanding of applicable safety and environmental regulations.
  • Expertise in carbon capture and heat integration for scalable systems
  • Proven track record of ownership of project delivery and customer interfacing
  • Proficiency in process software such as ASPEN
  • Comfortable moving between analysis, prototyping, and hands-on debugging
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and hit aggressive schedules
