Endoscopy Senior Staff Nurse | Yorkshire Clinic | Full Time

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic innovative clinician to join the Endoscopy Unit at The Yorkshire Clinic. We are looking for an individual who will support clinical quality, governance and care and services are safe, effective, responsive and well led. We are JAG accredited and this role will support maintaining the accreditation by effective quality and outcome monitoring. The individual will have leadership skills to support day to day operational running of the department, whilst building a skilled knowledgeable workforce.

We are looking for a current senior endoscopy nurse with clinical expertise in this speciality ready to take on a leadership role. Our aim is to grow activity and ensure quality care delivery.


You will:

  • Develop own knowledge and skills and develop others, carrying out appraisals and supporting the team.
  • Further develop the services, in turn grow activity.
  • Contribute to quality improvement.
  • Ensure a safe effective governance framework which meets national regulations and enables compliance to Ramsay Polices.
  • Lead a workforce by blending people into teams and fostering a positive, yet a challenging culture.
  • Be a clear, logical and persuasive communicator across various audiences.
  • Take responsibility for guiding and directing others to achieve goals
  • Must have worked in Endoscopy before

Essential for the post

  • NMC Registered General Nurse (RGN)
  • Immediate Life Support
  • Knowledge of decontamination in the Endoscopy environment
  • Knowledge of JAG accreditation and ensure yearly renewal..
  • Diploma/degree in a health related subject
  • Leadership and Management Experience
  • Knowledge of Clinical Governance

The successful applicant will be able to evidence strong endoscopy clinical experience supported by quality governance. He/she will have a clear commitment to support team working and have excellent communication/interpersonal skills with all stakeholders.
