This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Staff Engineer, Cloud in India.

This role is designed for experienced engineering professionals who want to go beyond hands-on development and shape scalable cloud solutions with real business impact. You will operate in a highly distributed, global engineering environment where innovation, autonomy, and technical leadership are essential. The position focuses on designing and guiding cloud-native architectures that power large-scale digital products and services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across geographies, influencing both technical direction and engineering best practices. Beyond execution, this role emphasizes mentorship, system-level thinking, and elevating team capabilities. It is an opportunity to contribute to complex, high-scale systems while helping define how modern cloud solutions are built and delivered.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud-native architectures.
  • Provide technical direction and architectural guidance across multiple engineering teams and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
  • Drive adoption of best practices in cloud engineering, system design, and distributed systems.
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to improving technical maturity across teams and projects.
  • Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of cloud-based systems in production environments.
  • Participate in technical reviews, design discussions, and strategic planning for complex systems.

    • Requirements:

    • Extensive experience in cloud engineering, distributed systems, or platform architecture roles.
    • Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-native architecture patterns.
    • Deep understanding of microservices, APIs, scalability, and high-availability system design.
    • Strong background in software engineering with proficiency in at least one modern programming language.
    • Experience designing and operating large-scale production systems.
    • Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder communication skills.
    • Solid understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code concepts.
    • Ability to drive technical decisions in complex, fast-moving environments.
