This role is focused on hands-on schematic work, board-level debug, and factory-based failure analysis, operating within an established electrical architecture.
Key Responsibilities
-Develop and modify schematics in support of ongoing product programs using Altium
-Support and review PCB layout changes with a focus on manufacturability, signal integrity, and power integrity
-Build, bring up, and debug electrical prototypes and early production units
-Perform electrical failure analysis during EVT, DVT, PVT, and factory ramp
-Execute root-cause investigations and support implementation and validation of corrective actions
-Support production line bring-up, yield analysis, and electrical issue triage at the factory
-Collaborate closely with firmware, systems, and mechanical teams to resolve cross-domain issues
-Support electrical validation and reliability testing, including margin and stress testing
Required Qualifications
-Bachelors degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field
-8+ years of experience in consumer electronics electrical engineering
-Strong experience with low-power systems, MCUs, sensors, PMICs, and mixed-signal designs
-Proven experience supporting products through EVT, DVT, PVT, and mass production
-Proficiency with Altium for schematic capture and layout collaboration
-Strong hands-on hardware debug skills and factory support experience
-Experience working directly with Asia-based manufacturing partners
Required Lab & Debug Skills
Candidates must be comfortable performing independent debug work using standard electrical lab and factory equipment, including:
High-bandwidth oscilloscopes (e.g., power integrity, signal integrity analysis)
- Logic analyzers for digital bus and timing analysis
- Bench power supplies and electronic loads for power characterization
- Digital multimeters for board-level measurements
- Spectrum analyzers for noise and EMI-related investigations
- JTAG / SWD debuggers and programming tools
- Environmental chambers (thermal cycling, temperature soak) in support of failure reproduction
-Comfort working line-side with limited instrumentation and rapidly iterating debug hypotheses
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with wearable or medical-adjacent consumer electronics
Familiarity with EMI/EMC pre-compliance testing and failure mitigation
Experience supporting production ramp and sustaining engineering
Ability to operate independently in both lab and factory environments
