Job Description

The Senior Substation Primary Engineer requires strong background in Substation primary engineering on SLD, arrangement, layout and section for HV GIS switchgear, MV switchgear, power transformer, station service transformer, capacitor bank & reactor, etc. and with 5+ years of relevant experience with SEC HV & EHV substation projects. The responsibilities include preparation of substation primary design drawings and calculation reports in accordance with TES-P-119. The role requires technical support and guidance to junior engineers

The Senior Substation Primary Engineer requires strong background in Substation primary engineering on SLD, arrangement, layout and section for HV GIS switchgear, MV switchgear, power transformer, station service transformer, capacitor bank & reactor, etc. and with 5+ years of relevant experience with SEC HV & EHV substation projects. Key Activities:

• Prepare and review design drawings & documents for HV substation primary engineering & design that include the following:

- HV & MV Single Line Diagram

- Overall Substation Equipment Layout Plan

- Equipment Layout Plan & Section – 220/132kV GIS Building

- Equipment Layout Plan & Section – 33/11kV GIS Building

- Equipment Layout Plan & Section – Transformer Area

- Equipment Layout Plan & Section – Bus & Line Reactor Area

- Equipment Layout Plan & Section – Gantry Area

- Cable Raceway Layout Plan & Section – 220/132kV GIS Building

- Cable Raceway Layout Plan & Section – 33/11kV GIS Building

- Cable Raceway Layout Plan & Section – Transformer Area

- Cable Raceway Layout Plan & Section – Bus & Line Reactor Area

- Cable Raceway Layout Plan & Section – Gantry Area

- Power System Analysis on short circuit, load flow, harmonics, and motor starting.

- HV & MV cable ampacity and heat dissipation sizing calculation.

- Insulation Coordination calculation

- Other drawings and documents as required by SEC

• Coordinate and deliver substation primary system designs in compliance with SEC, NG and other relevant authority standards and approval processes.

• Prepare and contribute to technical reports, specifications, tender documents, and proposals for substation and distribution projects.

Provide technical guidance and leadership, support knowledge sharing within the team, and maintain strong working relationships with clients and key stakeholders
