Purpose of the Role:
Working within the Risk & Compliance team, you’ll collaborate closely across the business toanalyse information and provide actionable insights to assist decision makers reduce and manage risk, provide assurance of ongoing compliance management and identify opportunities to improve risk, compliance, business continuity and insurance practices and frameworks.
As a Senior Specialist you willassistin theplanning andimplementationofriskand compliancematurity upliftprograms, anduse your analytical skills and experience tohelp inform risk informed and compliance by default practices and processes
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Your work will directly influence strategic decision making, enabling the organisation toanticipatechallenges, seize opportunities and safely deliver organisational programs and priorities.
You will:
Analyse information and practices across risk, compliance, businesscontinuityand insuranceactivity toidentifytrends and produce actionable insights, collaborating with leaders across the enterprise to enable andassistdecision makers to reduce exposure, improve practices and effectively manage risk andcompliance.
Analyse insurance, compliance and risk informationandassistin theidentification ofimprovement opportunities to reduce exposure, improvecomplianceand lift enterprise resilience
Contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework, including Business Resilience processes.
Support the continued development of a risk-based Compliance Framework across the organisation.
Assistin the continued development of the organisational and regulatory Environmental Sustainability Framework
Participate in the development and review of Risk and Compliance policies and procedures, including providing support in the monitoring,reviewand interpretation of the Approved Authorities Matrix (AAM).
Provide subject matterexpertiseand advice on Risk and Compliance matters across all levels and areas of The Salvation Army.
Build andmaintainstrong relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation to foster understanding, engagement, and support for Risk and Compliance frameworks.
Prepare regular reports for the Executive Manager Risk and Compliance on an ongoing basis and asrequired
Education and Qualifications Required:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in commerce, economics, riskmanagementor another related field.
Post Graduate qualification in a relevant field is desirable
Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience (internal audit, risk management, compliance management, or operations)
Requirements of the role:
A National Criminal History Check isrequired
Working with children’s check
A current Drivers licence

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.
We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.
With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.
We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
When it comes to training and research we partner with the very best. Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville. Together, we are committed to improving the health outcomes for children today and in the future.
In 2016–17, more than 85,654 children attended our Emergency Department, 322,291 specialist clinic appointments were held which was almost 70,000 more than the previous year, more than 17,000 surgeries were performed and more than 48,552 children were admitted to our wards.
