(Senior) Specialist – Virtualization & Infrastructure (m/f/d)

In this role, you combine operational excellence with continuous improvement, helping to evolve our private cloud platforms while taking ownership of topics that make a tangible difference for our clients and the team. Working with VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix, storage, backup, and automation technologies, you contribute to the stability, performance, and future development of our infrastructure services.

• Operate: You keep our virtualization environments based on VMware, Hyper-V, and Nutanix running smoothly and ensure their stability, performance, and continuous development.
  
• Maintain: You operate and maintain compute, storage, and infrastructure hardware to ensure reliable and stable platform services.
• Optimize: Together with the team, you continuously improve the platform by driving automation and operational enhancements.
• Automate: You develop and enhance PowerShell scripts to streamline recurring operational tasks and increase efficiency.
  
• Manage: Storage and backup environments are part of your responsibility, including regular operational and maintenance activities.
  
• Support: By participating in the team's on-call rotation, you help ensure the availability of business-critical infrastructure services.
  

• Virtualization Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with VMware and solid knowledge of Hyper-V and Nutanix environments.
  
• Scripting Skills: Advanced experience with PowerShell scripting and automation of operational processes.
  
• Infrastructure Operations: Practical experience in server, compute, and storage infrastructure administration.
  
• Automation Knowledge: Good knowledge of IT process automation.
  
• Backup Technologies: Experience with Veeam Backup & Replication.
  
• Container Platforms: Basic knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, particularly Kubernetes.
  
• Languages: Strong German and English communication skills (minimum B2 level) for both verbal and written business communication.
