This role is a hybrid work arrangement. Work schedule to be discussed with the Hiring Manager according to the guidelines defined by the department.

Your Role

We are looking for a Senior Specialist, Taxation to join our team. Please note that this is a temporary role ending on March 31, 2027.

In this role, you will play a key part in our tax compliance and advisory functions, with responsibilities including:

  • Preparing and submitting GST-HST/QST returns.

  • Preparing and submitting non-resident withholding taxes remittances.

  • Preparing corporate federal income tax returns (T2) using Taxprep and preparing US schedules for annual returns.

  • Researching and assisting the Director, Taxation in providing accurate, timely tax advice on commodity taxes, payroll issues, international tax and income taxes.

  • Assisting with the management of external tax audits and preparing briefs in support of tax filing positions.

  • Assisting with New ERP implementation testing and implementation/

  • Providing Certificates of residency and other certificates as requested.

Your Profile:

  • University degree in a relevant discipline (Accounting or Finance).

  • 3–5 years of minimum related experience in tax or a similar finance environment.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft office suite (Word, excel) and Google suite.

  • Experience with Taxprep and ERP systems is considered an asset.

  • Ability to communicate professionally in English and French is preferred.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
