Senior Specialist, Talent Acquisition

Overview

  • Aligns talent acquisition strategies with Mastercard’s talent agenda across the Americas region, partnering with business leaders to support strategic talent priorities and workforce planning needs.
  • Accountable for designing, planning, and coordinating talent acquisition efforts, ensuring recruiting programs are scalable to support local, regional, and cross-functional hiring activities.
  • Acts as a consultant to business leaders and HR partners on a wide variety of talent acquisition strategies, programs, and processes.
  • These include talent planning, recruiting, assessment, candidate sourcing, market research, talent intelligence, and employment branding.
  • Delivers strategic recruitment for high-volume and complex hiring needs across the Americas region, supporting multiple business units and functions.

Role

  • Develop sourcing strategies through detailed market research, talent mapping, and data mining, leveraging tools such as LinkedIn, social media, and other external resources to identify prospective candidates.
  • Conduct initial outreach to and screening of prospective internal and external candidates and serve as the primary point of contact throughout the recruiting process.
  • Partner with hiring managers and HR stakeholders across the Americas region to develop talent acquisition strategies aligned with business growth objectives and workforce planning needs.
  • Provide market intelligence, talent insights, and competitive benchmarking to support hiring decisions across multiple geographies and business functions.
  • Execute employment branding and talent attraction initiatives and collaborate with Communications and HR partners to support designated objectives.
  • Coordinate phases of the talent acquisition process for assigned talent pipelines and evaluate candidate recommendations against business requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with talent acquisition processes, systems, and governance standards.
  • Monitor progress against key recruiting metrics, including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, candidate pipeline health, diversity representation, and candidate experience.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to influence hiring decisions and drive successful recruitment outcomes.
  • Support strategic talent initiatives and projects that enhance recruiting effectiveness and strengthen Mastercard’s employer brand across the Americas region.

All About You

  • Experience implementing talent acquisition programs and processes, including candidate screening, assessment, and selection, in a fast-paced, high-volume, and matrixed environment.
  • Proven track record delivering hiring results that meet business needs and stakeholder expectations.
  • Consistently delivered strong performance against recruiting metrics, including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, candidate slates, and pipeline development.
  • Experience assessing and selecting top talent while providing robust market insights and candidate evaluations to hiring teams.
  • Strong experience conducting market research and talent mapping independently, communicating effectively with prospective candidates, and presenting findings to stakeholders across functions and industries.
  • Experience managing the full candidate lifecycle from sourcing through offer and onboarding.
  • Demonstrated success identifying and developing new talent pools and sourcing channels.
  • Track record of success recruiting across the Americas region, managing hiring needs across multiple countries, business functions, and organizational levels.
  • Ability to influence and consult with senior stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong project management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Experience recruiting across functions such as Product, Commercial, Technology, Services, Finance, Operations, or other corporate areas is an asset.
