About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices development. The role involves building and maintaining enterprise web applications, RESTful services, and database-driven solutions while working collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate should also be comfortable with IBM MQ and Apache Struts.

Job Description

The position focuses on developing Java-based enterprise applications using core Java concepts, Java EE technologies, and modern frameworks such as Spring Boot. The candidate will work with databases through SQL and JDBC and develop RESTful web services using technologies such as JAX-RS or Jersey.

The role also involves source-code management with Git, build and dependency management using Maven, and integration with IBM technologies including WebSphere MQ, WebSphere Server, and IBM DB2. Candidates should follow secure coding practices and contribute to application testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

The engineer will participate in team activities, mentor colleagues, support business initiatives, and collaborate with developers, testers, designers, and product managers in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Apache Struts.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs using Spring Boot, JAX-RS, or Jersey.
• Develop web applications using Java EE technologies including Servlets, JSP, and JPA.
• Work with SQL, JDBC, IBM DB2, IBM MQ, and related enterprise technologies.
• Manage source code and builds using Git and Maven.
• Implement unit and integration testing and support CI/CD processes.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and optimize application performance.
• Mentor team members and collaborate with cross-functional teams on delivery initiatives.
