As a Senior Specialist - Regenerative Agriculture at Nestlé Research, your mission is to provide strategic direction and leadership in regenerative agriculture research, with a focus on coffee and cocoa. You’ll make a difference by collaborating closely with researchers, agronomists, project teams, business partners, operations teams, markets, and external partners. How you’ll make an impact as a Senior Specialist - Regenerative Agriculture

  • Defining scientific priorities that strengthen regenerative agriculture research and support sustainability and climate goals.
  • Leading a research project portfolio that turns regenerative agriculture science into practical solutions for coffee and cocoa value chains.
  • Driving collaborations with internal and external partners to address complex agronomy, soil health, and crop management challenges.
  • Delivering research projects, trials, and budgets with strong planning, governance, and operational excellence.
  • Building global regenerative agriculture capabilities by connecting experts, resources, and knowledge across teams and regions.
  • Communicating clear scientific insights, recommendations, and proposals that influence decisions and accelerate impact.

What will make you successful

  • Bringing a solid research background in agronomy (PhD or equivalent experience), preferably focused on sustainable coffee and cocoa production systems, with additional experience in integrated pest management and soil fertility management or a related field a plus.
  • Applying scientific knowledge to translate research and technology into practical solutions for implementation in agricultural value chains.
  • Using end-to-end research project management to connect regenerative agriculture with business value.
  • Collaborating effectively across research, business, operations, market, and external partner networks to build alignment and trust.
  • Communicating fluently in English and Spanish (ideally); working proficiency in French,
  • Bringing creative thinking, bold hypotheses, and creative solutions combined with a respectful, positive mindset.
