Senior Specialist, Project Systems Delivery

The Opportunity:

Join KBR as a Senior Specialist, Project Systems Delivery and play a key role in supporting and enhancing a portfolio of enterprise applications across engineering, government, supply chain and corporate operations.

Working closely with business and technology stakeholders, you will support application lifecycle activities, drive continuous improvement, and help deliver secure, scalable and business-focused technology solutions that create value across KBR's operations.

This role offers the opportunity to combine technical expertise, business analysis and stakeholder engagement to deliver practical technology outcomes. You'll contribute to governance, vendor management, software asset management and transformation initiatives, helping ensure KBR's business-critical applications remain effective, secure and fit for purpose.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity and can be based in Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide or Brisbane. There are two positions available.

The successful candidate must be an Australian citizen and be eligible to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance

Responsibilities:

  • Support a portfolio of applications across engineering, government systems, supply chain, and corporate functions.
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to understand requirements, identify improvement opportunities, and deliver solutions that meet operational and business needs.
  • Support application lifecycle management activities, including implementation, integration, upgrades, modernisation, maintenance, and decommissioning.
  • Engage software vendors and third-party relationships, including licensing, support agreements, and maintenance contracts.
  • Support software asset management activities to optimise application utilisation, licensing compliance, support services, and overall return on investment.
  • Support application portfolio management, rationalisation, and modernisation initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce complexity.
  • Ensure applications comply with security, governance, regulatory, and operational requirements.
  • Maintain governance frameworks, monitor application performance, manage risks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain reporting, analytics, dashboards, and performance metrics to support decision-making and identify emerging technology opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including global stakeholders where required, to deliver enterprise technology initiatives and achieve business objectives.

As the ideal candidate you will bring:

  • Australian citizenship.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Demonstrated experience supporting and managing enterprise applications in engineering, supply chain, asset management, or similar business-critical environments.
  • Experience supporting application lifecycles, including implementation, integration, upgrades, maintenance, and retirement.
  • Experience troubleshooting applications, integrations, and business workflows, with the ability to deliver practical technology solutions.
  • Experience managing software vendors, licensing, support agreements, and software asset management activities.
  • Strong business analysis, stakeholder engagement, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Understanding of application governance, risk management, compliance, and operational support best practices.

Desirable:

  • Experience in Application Support, Product Support, Systems Support, or similar role.
  • Experience with technologies such as ServiceNow, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, SQL Server, Azure, or related enterprise platforms.
  • Experience supporting engineering, asset management, or digital engineering applications such as Autodesk, Siemens NX, Creo, SolidWorks, ANSYS, Cameo, or Maximo.
  • Experience with licence optimisation, reporting, analytics, and dashboard development.
  • Experience within engineering, infrastructure, defence, government, energy, or manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity, data governance, cloud technologies, digital transformation initiatives, and relevant compliance frameworks.
