Title and Summary
Senior Specialist, Product Experience DesignThe Strategy, Execution, and Transformation (SET) team enables aligned execution across Services initiatives that span and impact all Services business units. SET supports complex, cross-organizational work by bringing clarity, shared understanding, and disciplined follow-through to the organization’s most important initiatives.
Within SET, the CX function plays a critical role in ensuring that strategy, progress, and outcomes are clearly understood, consistently communicated, and meaningfully experienced by internal stakeholders. This role exists to translate complexity into clarity—helping the organization to navigate change with confidence.
As a Senior CX Designer, you serve as an individual contributor responsible for shaping how SET initiatives are communicated, understood, and experienced across the enterprise. This is a hybrid role that blends UX research, experience design, and UX/content writing, with a strong emphasis on enterprise communication and internal user experience.
You will work closely with Principal TPMs and cross functional partners to ensure that SET initiatives are not only well executed, but also clearly framed, easy to navigate, and trusted by leaders and teams.
You will:
• Design Enterprise-Scale Experiences & Communications
• Design, build, and maintain SharePoint experiences that act as authoritative hubs for SET initiatives, playbooks, and status
• Create and evolve newsletters, blogs, and written updates that translate complex initiatives into clear, engaging narratives
• Establish consistent information architecture, structure, and tone across SET communications
Apply User-Centered Design & Research
• Lead targeted user research efforts (interviews, surveys, usability testing) to understand how internal users consume information, make decisions, and experience change
• Synthesize insights into actionable recommendations that improve clarity, usability, and adoption
• Advocate for user c centered approaches in how SET information, tools, and updates are designed
Content & UX Writing Leadership
• Craft clear, concise, and empathetic UX content—including interface copy, microcopy, guidance, and messaging—that supports understanding and action
• Refine content through feedback, testing, and iteration to ensure it remains relevant and effective as initiatives evolve
• Help define and reinforce a consistent SET voice across channels
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Enablement
• Partner with Principal TPMs, product leaders, engineers, and business stakeholders to align experience design with initiative goals
• Support executive and stakeholder communications by refining presentations, readouts, and narrative artifacts
• Participate actively in Teams channels, helping clarify intent, answer questions, and reinforce shared understanding in real time
Continuous Improvement & Thought Leadership
• Measure the effectiveness of CX and communication efforts through engagement signals, feedback, and usability insights
• Iterate on designs and content to improve adoption, comprehension, and trust
• Stay current on UX, content design, and service design practices, introducing ideas that elevate SET’s impact
All About You:
You are a designer and communicator who thrives at the intersection of complexity, clarity, and influence.
You bring:
• Strong experience in UX design, UX research, content design, or technical writing, ideally in large scale or enterprise environments
• A user-centered mindset, with the ability to translate insights into practical, high-impact design decisions
• Excellent writing and editing skills, with a talent for making complex information understandable without oversimplifying
• Solid interaction and information architecture architecture skills, supported by modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma)
• Confidence working with senior stakeholders and navigating organizational nuance
• Curiosity, responsiveness, and pride in creating experiences that help others succeed

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. O'Fallon, Missouri: $104,000 - $177,000 USD
