About the Role

We are seeking an Application Engineer to support offshore delivery of AspenTech InfoPlus.21 (IP21) historian configuration and Aspen ONE Process Explorer dashboard development. The role focuses on industrial data configuration, KPI logic, visualization, testing, and production support. The candidate will work with onsite leads to deliver reliable dashboards and data-driven manufacturing insights.

Job Description

The role involves configuring IP21 tags and historian data structures required for KPI calculations and dashboard consumption. You will develop Aspen ONE Process Explorer dashboards for site, line, and asset-level visibility based on approved wireframes and KPI requirements.

You will create trends, scorecards, drilldowns, thresholds, and exception views, followed by unit testing, data validation, and reconciliation against agreed datasets or manual reports. The role also includes defect triage, root cause analysis, fixes, UAT support, and hypercare activities.

The candidate will maintain configuration notes, test evidence, deployment procedures, and knowledge-transfer documentation to support consistent offshore delivery and operational handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and support AspenTech IP21 tags and historian data structures for KPI and dashboard requirements.
• Develop Aspen ONE Process Explorer dashboards for site, line, and asset-level visibility.
• Build trends, scorecards, drilldowns, thresholds, and exception views based on defined requirements.
• Perform unit testing, data validation, and reconciliation against approved datasets or manual reports.
• Support defect triage, root cause analysis, fixes, UAT, and hypercare activities.
• Apply SQL or historian queries for data extraction and validation.
• Prepare technical configuration notes, test evidence, deployment steps, and knowledge-transfer documentation.
• Support manufacturing KPI calculation and reporting requirements.

• Power BI or other visualization platforms
• Basic scripting for data checks or automation
• Experience supporting go-live and hypercare for industrial applications

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have around 6 years of experience in industrial application engineering, with hands-on expertise in AspenTech IP21 configuration, historian data handling, and Process Explorer dashboards. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Industrial Automation, Manufacturing Systems, or a related discipline is expected.
