The Logistics Specialist is responsible for the day to day execution and oversight of domestic and international logistics operations, ensuring on time delivery, cost efficiency, regulatory compliance, and high customer satisfaction. This role partners closely with 3PL providers, carriers, and cross functional internal teams to support effective logistics execution.

The position requires deep, hands-on knowledge of warehouse operations, including dock, stockroom, and floor execution, combined with strong data analytics capabilities to monitor performance, identify trends, and drive productivity, throughput, and inventory accuracy improvements. This role also supports the New Product Introduction (NPI) organization by enabling R&D activities through data driven logistics planning, timely material movement, and accurate inventory execution.

As part of the Americas Logistics organization, this role plays a critical part in maintaining material flow, inventory integrity, and overall operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily warehouse and distribution operations, including inbound receiving, putaway, storage, picking, packing, staging, shipping, and return to stock (RTS) logistics.
  • Maintain strong, routine presence and visibility on the warehouse floor, stockrooms, and dock areas to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant material movement.
  • Understand and manage key warehouse productivity drivers, including labor utilization, throughput, space optimization, inventory accuracy, docktostock cycle time, and shipment velocity.
  • Monitor and analyze warehouse and logistics performance using operational data, dashboards, and reports to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Apply data analytics to drive decisions related to productivity, capacity planning, inventory accuracy, transportation performance, and cost control.
  • Develop and support performance metrics and KPIs (e.g., pick rates, dock turns, inventory accuracy, ontime shipment performance) and use data to drive corrective actions.
  • Identify root causes of inefficiencies in warehouse, stockroom, and dock operations and lead process improvements to increase efficiency and consistency.
  • Ensure accurate and timely SAP transactions for all warehouse and logistics activities, including goods receipt, goods issue, stock transfers, returns, and inventory adjustments.
  • Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy through disciplined system transactions, cycle counts, and physical inventory controls.
  • Manage and support U.S. import and export operations in compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and other applicable regulations.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and carriers to ensure accurate documentation, classification, valuation, and timely clearance of U.S. imports and exports.
  • Collaborate closely with 3PL providers, carriers, and internal teams to align warehouse execution, transportation schedules, and dock operations.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Production Planning, Quality, Purchasing, and Trade Compliance teams to resolve material flow and compliance issues.
  • Review and audit freight, handling, and accessorial costs using datadriven analysis to identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Respond proactively to internal and external customer inquiries and escalations related to warehouse execution, shipment status, and delivery performance.
  • Participate in operational reviews, scorecards, monthly business reviews (MBRs) and continuous improvement initiatives with warehouse service providers and logistics partners.
  • Perform other jobrelated duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or equivalent related experience
  • 7+ years of experience in domestic and international Logistics, Transportation, or Supply Chain Management for the capital equipment industry, preferably semiconductor or hi-tech manufacturing environment.
  • Must have high “sense of urgency” and “know how” to escalate to proper channels.
  • Working knowledge of modern logistics, material flow and improvement strategies and the ability to integrate those into the operation.
  • Experience or working knowledge of SAP, knowledge of TMS / WMS functionalities is expected.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Any other professional certifications will be of added advantage.
  • Proven self-starter, change agent and influencer.
  • Ability to operate in an environment of significant change and ambiguity.
