Job Description

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Specialist, Fund/Client Accounting to join our Central Expense Unit, Fund & Investor Solutionsteam This role is located in Pune

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • The Senior Specialist in the Central Expense Team is responsible for supporting centralized expense management activities, including expense review, reporting, analysis, controls, reconciliations, and stakeholder support. This role helps ensure expense processes are completed accurately, on time, and in line with BNY standards, with a focus on operational efficiency, data integrity, and strong financial controls.
  • Perform central expense activities including expense tracking, validation, reconciliation, and reporting, Support monthly, quarterly, and annual expense close processes. Review expense data for completeness, accuracy, and policy/process compliance. Investigate variances, resolve exceptions, and escalate issues where required.
  • Prepare and maintain management reports, dashboards, and analysis for expense trends. Partner with internal stakeholders across teams to support expense submissions, queries, and issue resolution.
  • Maintain documentation for processes, controls, and standard operating procedures. Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and reporting efficiency. Support audits, reviews, and requests for expense-related data.
  • Contribute to team goals, service delivery standards, and continuous improvement initiatives

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business, or related discipline.
  • 6-7 years of total work experience is preferred.
  • Relevant experience in expense management, finance operations, reporting, accounting support, or similar operational finance work.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good knowledge of spreadsheets and reporting tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and control mindset.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work within deadlines.
