Take Two is a statewide specialist therapeutic service supporting children, young people, adults and families impacted by trauma, abuse, neglect, disrupted attachment and family violence.
As a Senior Specialist Family Violence Counsellor, you'll deliver therapeutic counselling to adult victim survivors while contributing your expertise through consultation, reflective practice and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Working across both the Take Two therapeutic service and Berry Street Yooralla's specialist Family Violence Program, you'll deliver trauma-informed counselling and therapeutic support as part of an integrated service that places safety, recovery and client choice at the centre of practice.
Our Family Violence Program provides specialist support to victim survivors and their children, to remain safely connected to their communities and move towards lives free from violence. Through collaborative, person-centred practice, we help individuals navigate the emotional and practical impacts of family violence while strengthening wellbeing, resilience and independence.
This is an opportunity to apply your specialist family violence expertise beyond direct counselling. Alongside therapeutic work, you'll provide consultation, contribute to reflective practice and support colleagues working with victim survivors across a range of service settings. You'll join a highly skilled multidisciplinary team committed to delivering best-practice therapeutic responses and improving outcomes for victim survivors and their families
We are looking for individuals with specialist family violence experience, strong therapeutic counselling skills and the ability to analyse and respond to the complex issues experienced by victim survivors.
You'll be confident working collaboratively across services, providing specialist consultation to colleagues and contributing to a culture of reflective, evidence-informed practice.
