QEHS & Sustainability

DNK-Blans, DNK-Esbjerg, Mukkerten, DNK-Skærbæk

Senior Specialist, EHS - Southern Jutland

Do you want to help shape the future of EHS in a company undergoing significant transformation?

At Danish Crown, we are transforming our business to strengthen competitiveness, simplify the way we work and build a stronger, more sustainable company for the future.

To support this journey, we are looking for a Senior EHS Specialist who is motivated by driving change, raising standards and challenging established ways of working. You will play an important role in strengthening our Environmental, Health & Safety agenda across several Danish sites.

A key role in our EHS transformation
As part of our Nordic EHS team, you will work closely with site management, operational leaders, technical functions and local EHS colleagues. You will report directly to our Nordic EHS organisation at our HQ. You will act as a trusted specialist and constructive challenger, helping the organisation strengthen EHS performance, build capability and adopt more consistent ways of working.

Your key responsibilities
• Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of EHS management systems, standards and processes.
• Act as process owner for selected EHS disciplines and support alignment between Danish operations and global requirements.
• Support and challenge leaders in strengthening EHS ownership, accountability and decision-making.
• Provide specialist guidance on high-risk topics, including machine safety, chemical safety, environmental compliance, ergonomics, incident investigation and operational safety.
• Lead investigations of serious incidents and ensure robust root cause analysis, corrective actions and organisational learning.
• Conduct risk assessments, audits and compliance reviews across multiple sites.
• Use data and digital EHS tools to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Coach and train leaders, engineers, technicians and EHS colleagues to build competence and support lasting behavioural change.
• Lead cross-functional improvement initiatives and contribute to transformation projects that change the way we work.
• Share best practices across sites and contribute to the continued development of our Nordic EHS approach.

What you bring
This is an opportunity for an experienced EHS professional who thrives in a changing environment and wants to make a visible impact. Experience from the food industry is not a requirement. What matters is that you bring strong EHS expertise, relevant international experience and the drive to turn ambitions into practical improvements.

You are driven, pragmatic and comfortable taking the lead when progress is needed. You combine strong professional judgement with the ability to engage people and build commitment to new ways of working. You are resilient in the face of complexity and know when to challenge, when to listen and how to move an agenda forward.
• A relevant degree within Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety or a related technical field.
• Several years of EHS experience from manufacturing, engineering, logistics, energy, pharmaceuticals or another operational environment.
• International experience from working across countries, cultures or a global matrix organisation.
• Strong expertise within several EHS disciplines and a solid understanding of EHS management systems.
• A track record of implementing improvements, influencing stakeholders and delivering sustainable change.
• The ability to translate complex requirements into clear, practical solutions for the business.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A willingness to travel regularly between the sites in your area and occasionally to other locations.
• Fluency in English. Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement.

What we offer
At Danish Crown, you will join an international food company with strong ambitions and a clear transformation agenda. You will have the opportunity to influence EHS performance across several sites and work closely with committed colleagues and leaders across functions and countries.

We offer a role with responsibility, professional challenges and room to create impact. You will become part of a collaborative Nordic EHS team and help shape safer, healthier and more sustainable ways of working across Danish Crown.

About Danish Crown

The Danish Crown Group is a global food processing company and among the largest in its field. The Group is the world’s largest pork exporter and Europe’s largest pork processor. Furthermore, Danish Crown Beef is a significant player in the European beef market.

Just like the crops in the fields continuously change, Danish Crown tirelessly refine and improve how we work, from farm to fork, to ensure good, safe food for people around the world to enjoy. Our history goes back to 1887 and the Danish cooperative movement, and responsibility towards society, our employees and our owners, the farmers, is quite simply in our genes.

As a global leader in meat production, we have big obligations; not just to deliver, but to explore new opportunities. We still have a long way to go and face many challenges. But we remain committed to improving how food is produced - with respect for animals, people and the environment. In this quest, we are prepared to challenge ourselves, the industry and the market.

This journey is not ours alone, but we promise to be the leaders of change.

You will become a part of a strong culture with roots in the Danish co-operative movement, and at all levels of the organization, you will be met by an informal and direct tone.
