To lead review of planning submissions of ADPorts customers in line with approved master plans and development guidelines and approved building codes.
To participate in the formulation of rational plans and policies to guide the physical development of ABU DHABI PORTS’s land in line with the Company’s expressed goals and objectives and the Emirate of Abu Dhabi’s regulations.
Core Responsibilities:
Enhance the culture of development services and approvals awareness across AD Ports Group Clusters, Business Units and Subsidiaries etc.
People Management Responsibilities:
Implement effective performance evaluation mechanisms that measure key performance indicators, foster continuous improvement, and enhance productivity.
Identify skill gaps and training requirements for the teams to ensure consistent high performance.
Develop a strong leadership framework within the team to encourage professional advancement and leadership skills among team members through mentoring and leadership training programs.
Strategic Responsibilities:
Act as a strategic advisor to the leadership team on Development Services and approvals best practices and trends.
Review and endorse the Division’s strategy.
Foster a forward-thinking approach that anticipates future trends and prepares the department to adapt to technological advancements and market changes.
Enhance communication and collaboration with key stakeholders to align Developers’ Services Hub strategies with broader organizational goals. Ensure that the AD Ports Group HSE, Sustainability, Business Continuity & Security Regulations & Compliance requirements are adhered to.
Contribute to development and land management policies and procedures includ ing building permits.
Manage in-house project teams and external consultants to carry out tasks
Educational and Technical Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning or Architecture. Master's degree is a plus
EFQM Certified Assessor (Preferred)
Language Skills:
Excellent English and Arabic
Years of Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
Nature of Experience:
Experience in Planning Permits -related functions, Quality, Health and Safety, Environment, Business Continuity Management aspects.
In-depth knowledge of industry standards
Ability to understand strategic issues and hold an overall perspective of the organization.
Detail oriented and organized, with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of developing high-performance teams.
Should have excellent technical aptitude and superior project and people management skills.
Ability to handle customers with care to deliver results.
