This person should be skilled at analyzing complex data and metrics and turning analysis into action. The person does not hesitate to initiate and drive a project and involve stakeholders to improve the customer experience. The ability to promptly take action, prioritize tasks properly, and manage the multiple due dates are essential to success in this role. Writing and verbal communication in both Japanese and English will also be required.

Key job responsibilities
・Data-driven Speed enhance: Analyze data and metrics, and understand Speed of Amazon Japan operation. Maintain and Improve it using the data.
・Deep Knowledge and Communication skill: Understand the operation and systems and their interactions in-between, and communicate with the right stakeholders to improve Speed in either Japanese or English by request basis.
・Project Management: Manage middle scale of project across functionalities. Facilitating meetings, tracking the task and status, and raising support requests to leaders are included in this responsibility.
・Reporting to Management Leaders: Publish report on regular basis about the Speed of Amazon Japan as metrics owner, cascading them to all the key stakeholders including the leadership and let them understand the situation

A day in the life
Our day start from checking the yesterday Speed performance. If we have any drops in the number, we check the report of Fulfillment Center, Transportation, and other related team's metrics, and reach out to them if necessary. If we identified the cause, share the result with team members.

In the afternoon, you check the status of the project you own as Project Manager; checking the status of other stakeholders progress, and preparing a report about the status to leaders. And sometimes you have task to analyze Speed impact of another project. If it impacts negatively on Speed, then take it to team and make go/no-go decision.

About the team
Our team owns the Speed and Delivery Quality. They cover the wide range of our fulfillment network. We have knowledge about the inventory placement, delivery promise, upstream systems, fulfillment centers and transportation operation. We are curious about whatever the new systems, processes, and projects which the other stakeholders make, and always consider the impact on our metrics, since we know how much important the Speed and Quality for our customers. We do not hesitate to make change on other teams' process or ourselves to get better fit to the latest condition.

Basic Qualifications


- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Business level English (written and verbal) and Japanese (written and verbal)

Preferred Qualifications

- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
