Azure Data Architect

Role: Azure Data Architect
Experience: 10–12 years of relevant experience
Location: Mexico (MX)

The Azure Data Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable data platforms and architectures on Microsoft Azure. This role focuses on data integration, ETL pipelines, analytics enablement, and enterprise data governance to support business and technical stakeholders.

Primary Technical Skills

• Advanced expertise in Azure Data Platform services, including:

  • Azure Data Lake
  • Azure SQL Database
  • Azure SQL Data Warehouse
  • Azure Synapse Analytics

• Strong hands-on experience with data integration and ETL tools, such as:

  • Azure Data Factory
  • SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Azure Logic Apps
  • Power Automate

• Proven experience designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines for ETL processes from diverse data sources

• Strong command of relational and NoSQL databases, including SQL Server and Azure SQL

• Deep experience with Snowflake on Azure environments

• Hands-on experience in data wrangling and analytics preparation using Power BI

• Experience with Dynamics CRM and Dynamics 365 data integration

• Strong knowledge of:

  • Data modeling
  • Metadata management
  • Data quality analysis

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, design, and implement process improvements, automation, optimized data delivery, and scalable infrastructure redesigns

• Investigate and analyze data sources and perform data quality assessments

• Collaborate with architects and data engineers to define best practices for:

  • Data system creation
  • Data integrity
  • Testing and documentation

• Design, build, and maintain optimal data pipeline architectures for ETL across internal and external systems

• Assemble large and complex datasets to meet business and analytics requirements

• Build analytic datasets and delivery mechanisms to provide actionable insights

• Define, document, and maintain:

  • Master data
  • Metadata repositories
  • Logical data models

• Work closely with stakeholders across executive, product, data, and technology teams to support data infrastructure needs and resolve technical issues

Secondary / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with on‑premises to cloud migration strategies

• Knowledge of data security, compliance, and governance in Azure environments

• Exposure to AWS and GCP for hybrid cloud data solutions
