Job Description

In this role, you'll:


You will take the lead in shaping long-term cyber direction across a complex, high-impact environment. You will work at the intersection of strategy, risk, and government priorities, guiding multi-year cyber investments, influencing executive decisions, and strengthening enterprise resilience in the face of evolving threats.
You will drive the future of cyber strategy, shaping multi-year roadmaps, influencing major investment decisions, and turning complex cyber risks, trends, and technologies into clear, actionable direction for senior leaders.
You will partner with executives and government stakeholders to align priorities and deliver real impact, leading high-quality strategic insights, contributing to key governance forums, and identifying the actions that will strengthen cyber resilience across the organisation.

You are a strategic thinker who can cut through complexity and turn cyber risk into clear, actionable direction. You are confident engaging senior leaders, influencing decisions, and bringing others along on the journey.
You bring deep experience in cyber strategy within complex environments, paired with a practical mindset and a drive to create real, lasting impact.

ANSTO is one of Australia’s largest public research organisations and custodian of much of our country’s important science infrastructure, including the OPAL nuclear research reactor, the Australian Synchrotron, accelerators, cyclotrons and neutron beam instruments.
