Job Description

The Lead Assistant Manager, Global Rewards (Equity Operations), is responsible for supporting the administration and operational delivery of EXL's global equity compensation programs, including Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), Performance RSUs (PRSUs), and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP). The role partners closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, Legal, Tax, and external vendors to ensure accurate processing, reporting, compliance, employee support, and data management for equity programs globally.

Equity Plan Administration

  • Administer global equity programs including RSUs, PRSUs, Director Grants, and ESPP.
  • Support grant processing, vesting events, distributions, terminations, retirements, and mobility cases.
  • Maintain participant records and ensure accuracy of equity-related transactions.
  • Partner with external equity administrators and brokers to support plan operations.

Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) Operations

  • Manage monthly and offering-period ESPP administration activities.
  • Process participation files, eligibility files, contribution files, reconciliation reports, refunds, and payroll interfaces.
  • Coordinate with global payroll teams to ensure timely and accurate contribution submissions.
  • Validate participant enrollment and purchase data, investigate discrepancies, and resolve exceptions.

Employee Support and Helpdesk Management

  • Serve as a primary contact for employee inquiries related to equity plans, ESPP participation, account access, certifications, and transactions.
  • Manage Equity and ESPP helpdesk requests and ensure timely resolution of employee questions.
  • Support employee education initiatives, webinars, communications, and awareness programs.

Compliance, Audit and Reporting

  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and process evidence for internal and external audits.
  • Support account certifications, compliance activities, stock reconciliations, and control documentation.
  • Prepare and validate reports for Finance, Legal, Payroll, Tax, and senior leadership stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements governing equity compensation programs.

Data Management and Reconciliations

  • Perform equity and ESPP reconciliations to ensure data accuracy across systems.
  • Validate participant eligibility, contribution data, payroll interfaces, and transaction records.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies impacting grants, vestings, purchases, and employee accounts.
  • Develop and maintain operational checklists, process documentation, and control procedures.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Finance, Legal, Tax, Mobility, and external vendors.
  • Coordinate with regional and global teams to support timely execution of equity-related processes.
  • Assist in preparing communications, reports, presentations, and leadership updates.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience supporting equity compensation and/or global rewards programs.
  • Strong analytical and data validation skills.
  • Advanced Excel and reporting capabilities.
  • Knowledge of stock plan administration, ESPP processes, payroll interfaces, and compliance controls.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize competing operational activities.
