What is the opportunity?

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and validating client elections with accurate and timely tender to agents. You will seek clarification of invalid, incorrect and/or ambiguous client instructions and send rejection notices to clients where required. In addition, you will provide thorough resolution to issues and/or queries related to client elections on Corporate Action events.

What will you do?

Daily Operation:

• Review and validate incoming client instructions ensuring accurate and complete information is provided and all requirements are fulfilled. Where instructions are deemed incomplete or ambiguous, rejection notices are sent to clients in a timely manner

• Manage response tendering workflows giving priority to urgent elections while managing short deadlines and high volumes.

• Ensure all tenders are reconciled, balanced, and accounted for on a daily basis

• Support in the implementation of operational changes/improvements to streamline processes and enhance customer service. Identify and recommend areas for improved efficiency and simplification

Risk Control:

• Escalate all critical issues identified immediately to ensure risk mitigation and control.

• Ensure errors and omissions are maintained at an absolute minimum, or where occurring are not repetitive in nature as part of managing key risk indicators

• Investigate escalations and work with various parties for resolution where possible. Further escalate unsolved issues to management team to ensure risk containment

• Monitor and assist with reconciliation of asset breaks where applicable

Client Services:

• Respond to all client queries in a timely manner providing all necessary information and backup for quick resolution.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• 2-4 years Back Office experience within financial services industry

• Knowledge of Corporate Action Principals & Custody Platforms

• Intermediate MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)

Nice-to-have

• Canadian Securities Course

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.

Pay Range

The expected pay range for this position is:

$55,000.00 - $90,000.00

The pay range provided is for the primary work location referenced in the Additional Job Details section of this job posting. Pay ranges may differ based on location.
