Job Description

The Senior Specialist Community Engagement at Abu Dhabi Food Hub (ADFH), part of the Economic Cities & Free Zones Cluster at AD Ports Group, plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the operational integrity, safety, and compliance of the live market environment. As the primary client-facing representative, this role is responsible for embedding a safety-first culture among tenants and clients, ensuring the market maintains its premium positioning through differentiated, safe, and clean experiences. The Senior Specialist proactively manages outsourced operational functions, enforces service level agreements (SLAs), and oversees cleanliness and compliance standards every trading day. Operating under strict cost discipline, this position directly impacts the largest controllable operating costs by enforcing performance deductions with contractors, protecting the service-charge recovery ratio, and supporting revenue protection. Through vigilant health, safety, and environment (HSE) oversight, the Senior Specialist prevents incidents and trading interruptions, ensuring continuous market activity and high occupancy rates. This role is integral to maintaining ADFH’s reputation as the safest, cleanest, and most compliant food trading hub in the region, distinguishing it from competitors and supporting tenant retention and service charge renewal.

Core Responsibilities:

Client & Tenant Engagement

  • Act as the primary client-facing representative to tenants and market clients.
  • Communicate and embed safety-first culture, operational standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Address tenant concerns, feedback, and service requests promptly to ensure satisfaction and retention.

Operational Oversight & Compliance

  • Daily monitor outsourced operational functions including cleaning, maintenance, and security among others.
  • Monitor daily market situation to ensure adherence to cleanliness, safety, and compliance standards.
  • Enforce service level agreements (SLAs) and apply performance deductions as necessary.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Management

  • Conduct regular inspections along HSE Lead and audits to prevent incidents and trading interruptions.
  • Collaborate with contractors and internal teams to resolve HSE issues promptly.
  • Promote continuous improvement in HSE practices and compliance.

Cost Control & Revenue Protection

  • Operate under strict cost discipline, monitoring controllable operating costs and service levels with contractors.
  • Support the enforcement of service-charge recovery ratios through diligent SLA management.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising market standards.

Market Reputation & Differentiation

  • Safeguard ADFH’s premium positioning by ensuring a differentiated, safe, and clean market experience.
  • Benchmark against competitors to maintain ADFH’s reputation as the safest and most compliant trading hub.
  • Support initiatives that encourage tenant retention and service charge renewal

Educational and Technical Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related fieldLanguage Skills:
