About the role

Working within the People & Culture Division, the Senior Systems Specialist – Chris21 plays a key role in supporting Lifeblood’s payroll and HRIS environment, including the myDETAILS self-service platform. As the technical subject matter expert, this role ensures the system is configured, optimised and performing reliably, delivering accurate payroll outcomes, compliant reporting, and smooth integration with connected systems.

Bringing strong technical expertise, the role works across system configuration, complex reporting, bulk data processing, integrations, and data integrity and analysis. Sound interesting? Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Expert-level knowledge of the Chris21 payroll system, including advanced configuration, complex reporting and end-to-end payroll processing.
  • Extensive experience supporting payroll systems within a large, complex organisation (typically 2,000+ employees), operating across multiple industrial instruments and pay structures.
  • Proven experience in a Chris21 systems administration or technical specialist role, with accountability for system configuration, upgrades, enhancements and ongoing technical support.
  • Strong expertise in data integrations and interfaces, including an understanding of data flows, validation controls, error handling and reconciliation processes.
  • Demonstrated application of robust system controls, including access management, role-based permissions, segregation of duties, and regular data audits and reconciliations.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex system and payroll issues and implement sustainable, risk-aware solutions.
  • Full EOY Process, Upgrades and Testing.
  • Data Integration (daily housekeeping and testing - for both myTime to the cloud and biannual SAP upgrade)
