The Senior Special Security Technician assists the Special Security Officer (SSO) and Special Security Representative (SSR) in ensuring control of access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) materials and SCI facilities (SCIFs). The technician certifies and receives SCI visitor clearances and accesses; conducts SCI security briefings, indoctrinations, debriefings, and training on classified material and SSO-related topics; assists with the courier badging process; obtains signed nondisclosure agreements; and provides guidance and assistance for processing SCI position and eligibility requests for assigned military, government, and contractor personnel. The technician develops preemptive plans for mass indoctrination and security clearance management, works closely with the government customer SSO to streamline surge capabilities, and supports mass onboarding as emergencies arise. Upon government execution of a surge requirement, the technician implements security functions and tasks identified in the contractor support plan.
