As a Solutions Engineer for the Bern Region, you will play a pivotal role in driving NetApp’s success across Switzerland’s Public Sector and Enterprise customers. Working in close partnership with your Client Executive, you will act as a trusted technical advisor, building lasting customer relationships, uncovering business challenges, and crafting innovative solutions that enable organizations to modernize their data infrastructure and achieve their strategic objectives.
You will lead the technical engagement throughout the entire sales cycle, supporting both existing customers and new business opportunities. From identifying customer needs to designing and positioning complex solutions, you will showcase the full value of NetApp’s portfolio across hybrid cloud, data management, cybersecurity, and AI-powered technologies. Managing multiple opportunities simultaneously, you will help customers envision what’s possible and guide them on their digital transformation journey.

You will collaborate closely with channel partners, engage confidently with both technical and executive stakeholders, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Job Requirements

  • Proven (4 year +) success supporting enterprise or large customers in complex sales cycles (preferred Public Sectors experience)
  • Engage customers in forward-looking conversations around AI readiness, data strategy, hybrid cloud, and disaster recovery
  • Strong knowledge of Data Storage, Data Protection/Continuity (including Cyber), Virtualization, Containers and ideally Cloud architectures.
  • Strong discovery, communication, and presentation skills, able to translate technical capabilities into clear business value
  • Collaborate with client executives, channel partners and specialists to deliver seamless outcomes and drive demand generation, enablement, and joint selling motions.
  • Demonstrate ownership of issues / solutions / architectures in customer or partner environments and work with extended team to help resolve for delivering the highest customer experience.
  • Strong expertise in Technical Pre-Sales, with the ability to do hands-on POCs and conduct technical workshops
  • Ability to assist in creating ROI/TCO overview and competitive advantages of solution offerings
  • Excellent written and verbal (Suisse)-German/English communication skills, including making technology oriented commercial presentations and answering RFPs with partners or sales.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of NetApp’s portfolio and competitive landscape to guide customer strategy.
  • Partner closely with internal teams to ensure successful implementation and customer satisfaction.
  • Travel to the prospective customer's sites & locations as necessary.
  • Knowledge of NetApp’s competitive and alliance landscape would be an added advantage

Education

Typically requires a minimum of 6 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 5 years and a Master’s degree;
