PeopleSharp was founded in 2021 by Dave Cava after selling an MSP that went from a bootstrapped founding to over $10M in revenue in 11 years. The systematize their recruiting process and get the owners and managers out of the early stages of it. They have strong onboarding processes and mentoring systems, and they fill a lot of high level roles through internal promotion of qualified people. These realizations transformed Dave's MSP and became the foundational ideas for PeopleSharp.
Today we work with many MSPs and channel companies. We learn their business and their culture, and then apply the principles above as we work through a very well-defined recruiting process we call 'layered filtering'. Before we consider what candidates know or what they have done, we ask "Will this person make a great employee, and do they have a lot of potential to go further and help this company go further?"
Recruiters don't have the best reputation, and much of that is deserved. We do a lot of things differently than your typical headhunter. We aren't particularly looking for transactional relationships. We see ourselves more as your outsourced internal recruiting department. We don't define success as making placements, we define it by whether we are helping companies get healthier and scale. If we think you might be hiring for the wrong position or compounded a team problem, we'll tell you. If we have concerns about a candidate we pass through, we'll tell you. The only time we'll ever shop a candidate is if one approaches us independently and we are trying to help them.
