In this role, you'll:
Be working as part of a team delivering high performing architectural solutions for the Group Technology Branch. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will be providing technical leadership and strategic advice to the Sydney Trains Cloud Resilience Program and Transport IT sustainability program. The programs encompasses complex cloud migration and uplift projects, to modernise and secure transport infrastructure, consolidate systems, enhance agility, establish consistent cloud architecture patterns and uplift cyber security.
You will be closely collaborating with projects and other key stakeholders to provide high level input to and assist with the effective implementation of comprehensive architecture plans, addressing all elements of the architectural framework ensuring that it is aligned to the IT architectural goals and technology roadmap. You will develop and design solution options and recommendations, take them through the architecture governance process and oversee their implementation.
This is a fixed term full time opportunity until 30/09/26 with hybrid working arrangements. Your home base is Burwood and office anchor day on Thursdays.

About you
You will have previous demonstrated experience as a Senior Solutions Architect, in Cloud transformation, networking, security and data classification. As a collaborative team player, you are solutions focussed and skilled at providing architectural solutions for complex problems and system requirements, alongside technical design and analysis in a complex and maturing technical environment.
You will have experience in road maps alignment and long-term strategy and exceptional written and verbal presentation skills, as part of your role will be to present at senior leadership forums and assist with the development of written business cases.
Experience within AWS and Azure is essential.
