Job Description

Senior Solution Architect

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to support a large-scale digital transformation program within the public sector. The role focuses on defining and governing solution architecture, guiding development teams, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards, and supporting the evolution of critical business systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and document solution architectures for complex business and IT initiatives.
  • Translate business, functional, and non-functional requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Produce architecture dossiers, models, and technical guidelines for development teams.
  • Ensure integration, performance, security, and maintainability of applications and platforms.
  • Promote architecture standards, reusable services, and best practices based on SOA and microservices principles.
  • Support architectural governance and provide technical oversight throughout project delivery.
  • Participate in enterprise architecture initiatives and contribute to long-term IT strategy.
  • Lead architecture reviews and technical audits, including code and application assessments.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, project managers, and development teams.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Senior Solution Architect in complex enterprise environments.
  • Expertise in Microservices Architecture, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), API Gateway patterns, and Event-Driven Architectures.
  • Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps, GitLab, and Jenkins.
  • Proficiency with architecture modeling frameworks and tools such as ArchiMate and Sparx Enterprise Architect.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture governance, integration patterns, and cloud-native solutions.
  • Experience conducting architecture reviews and technical assessments.

Languages

  • French: Professional proficiency (C2)

Nice to Have

  • Experience within public sector environments.
  • Relevant architecture, cloud, DevSecOps, or enterprise architecture certifications.
  • Experience with project management methodologies and governance frameworks.

Work Environment

  • Hybrid working model.
  • Location: Namur, Belgium.
  • Minimum 50% on-site presence required.
