Job Description

We are looking for a Solution Architect to play a key technical role in several client projects. You will need expertise in implementing solutions using various tech stacks. There is significant progression opportunities for this candidate as we are building a new service line in this area to supplement our 500 strong workforce in Dublin.

Responsibilities

• Shape solution options and influence strategic direction to ensure that the solutions designed are architecturally aligned
• Develop solution designs and supporting technical design documentation in compliance with architectural strategies (vison and roadmap) and principles
• Ensure that solutions adhere to required standards on security, infrastructure, services, delivery and quality assurance in order to ensure business solutions bring real value to the organisation
• Develop an in-depth understanding of the specific business areas to which you are aligned and have an understanding of organisational inter dependencies to ensure an enterprise view when designing business solutions
• Maintain relationships with Enterprise Architecture, Business Analysis and IT Delivery in order to influence decisions made in the scoping of projects and to influence architectural direction
• Promote awareness of new and emerging technologies among staff and the business
• Maintain a high level of business engagement to inspire confidence in IT as a trusted business partner
• Embed a culture of continuous improvement in the Solution Architecture team by looking for and driving improvements to ‘ways of working’, processes, tools and techniques
• Provide relevant skills transfer, coaching and mentoring to team members to share expertise

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject

Experience

• 2 years experience in designing and delivering solutions for blue chip organisations
• 10 years of overall IT experience, potentially in a variety of roles
• Experience in application development in Java
• Experience with microservices and containerisation
• Ability to produce concise, accurate solution designs to meet business problems
• Significant experience of design and systems architecture
• Significant experience of providing technical solutions to business problems
• Experience of senior stakeholder engagement
• The ability to influence stakeholder decision making based on your expertise
