Job Description

Senior Solution Architect

Build the future with us

Are you driven by designing secure, scalable, and sustainable technology solutions, and eager to contribute to a company in the insurance and financial services sector whose purpose is to help clients feel confident and protected about their future?

As a Senior Solution Architect, you will play a key role in shaping and evolving enterprise‑wide architectures, influencing critical domains related to security and technology resilience.

Your first mandate will involve working closely with Cloud Security and Endpoint Protection teams to help design secure, scalable, and pragmatic solutions aligned with organizational priorities.

What you’ll accomplish with us

  • Act as a trusted architecture leader, bridging business needs, delivery realities, and security requirements.

  • Ensure architectural alignment across initiatives so that solutions remain coherent, sustainable, and reusable.

  • Influence decisions through clarity, collaboration, and sound technical judgment, without relying on formal authority.

  • Mentor and support architects, designers, and delivery teams by sharing best practices and setting clear expectations.

  • Collaborate closely with Cloud Security and Endpoint Protection teams to support solution design and positioning.

  • Translate security strategies into concrete, actionable architectures suitable for delivery teams.

  • Ensure security considerations (risk, controls, resilience, scalability) are embedded early and consistently in solutions.

  • Contribute to the alignment of tools, patterns, and architectural decisions across cloud and endpoint initiatives.

What could accelerate your success in this role

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Security solutions (Endpoint, Identity, Cloud, or XDR components) in an enterprise environment.

  • Experience with email security platforms, including their integration and architectural positioning.

  • Solid understanding of endpoint protection architectures, detection and response concepts, and control effectiveness.

  • Experience designing or supporting solutions in multi‑cloud environments.

  • Ability to assess native cloud security capabilities and integrate them into broader enterprise architectures.

  • Understanding of shared responsibility models and cloud security design patterns.

  • Strong knowledge of security architecture principles and risk‑based decision making

  • Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001/27002, CIS, Zero Trust concepts).

  • Experience working within architecture governance models, including standards, reference architectures, and review forums.

  • Ability to balance governance and pragmatism to enable delivery while effectively managing risk.

This role does not require day‑to‑day operational responsibility for tools, but it does demand sufficient technical depth and credibility to guide decisions, challenge assumptions, and influence direction.

Experience & profile

  • Strong experience as a Solution Architect in complex, enterprise‑scale environments.

  • Proven ability to work cross‑functionally across multiple teams and domains.

  • Demonstrated experience influencing decisions and driving change through collaboration rather than authority.

  • A natural leader who takes initiative, communicates with confidence, and helps teams move forward.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to provide structure and clarity when needed.

  • Motivated by positive change, continuous improvement, and raising the organization’s overall maturity.

  • Excellent communicator, capable of explaining complex topics in a clear, pragmatic, and accessible manner.

  • Advanced proficiency in English, as the role involves weekly collaboration with English‑speaking partners, vendors, and internal teams through meetings, emails, and documentation.

  • Strong proficiency in French, both written and spoken.

  • The typical hiring range for this position is CAD $96,868 to $139,208 per year. The base salary offered may vary based on knowledge, skills, years of experience, and internal equity related to the role. At iA, we are committed to offering a fair, equitable, and market‑based compensation structure. Our market data is updated annually to reflect the most current market conditions.
