Supports the successful delivery of SAP S/4HANA Sales Order Management capabilities within the STEP transformation program by translating Commercial and cross-functional business requirements into compliant, scalable, and high-quality enterprise technology solutions.

Job Description

Major accountabilities:

  • Requirements Analysis: Lead requirements gathering and analysis with Commercial and cross-functional business stakeholders for SAP S/4HANA Sales Order Management processes, ensuring requirements are clearly defined, documented, and aligned with STEP program objectives.
  • Solution Design: Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications covering end-to-end sales order processes, including order creation, order changes, availability checks, pricing, credit-related dependencies, delivery, billing, returns, and relevant integration points.
  • SAP S/4HANA Sales Order Management Ownership: Design comprehensive end-to-end solutions aligned with business objectives, global template principles, compliance requirements, and SAP best practices.
  • Implementation Management: Oversee solution implementation activities within the Sales Order Management scope, ensuring delivery meets agreed quality, timeline, and budget commitments.
  • Integration: Ensure seamless integration between SAP S/4HANA Sales Order Management and connected systems or processes, including eCommerce, CRM, customer master data, pricing, supply chain execution, finance, reporting, and ex-ternal partner interfaces.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a bridge between Commercial business users, IT delivery teams, process owners, external implementation partners, and other STEP workstreams to ensure alignment across process, data, technology, and compliance requirements.
  • Dependency Management: Identify and proactively manage process, data, integration, and technical dependencies that may impact Sales Order Management design or deployment.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Define, support, and execute testing activities, including test scenario preparation, defect resolution, business validation, user acceptance testing, and readiness for deployment.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of solution designs, business requirements, process decisions, implementation plans, testing outcomes, and key design assumptions.
  • Training, Change and Hypercare Support: Support training, change management, deployment readiness, and hypercare activities to ensure effective adoption by business users.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all solutions comply with relevant regulatory, GxP, SOP, data integrity, audit, and internal control requirements throughout the solution lifecycle.

Key performance indicators:

  • Timely and compliant delivery of SAP S/4HANA Sales Order Management solutions meeting agreed business requirements and STEP program milestones.
  • Quality of requirements and solution documentation, including completeness, traceability, and alignment with global template decisions.
  • Effective resolution of process, data, integration, and technical dependencies impacting Sales Order Management scope.
  • Successful completion of testing and quality assurance activities, including test scenario readiness, defect closure, and business validation.
  • Stakeholder satisfaction across Commercial, Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Service, IT, external partners, and other STEP workstreams.
  • Compliance with applicable GxP, SOP, data integrity, audit, and internal control requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

  • University degree, preferably in Technology, IT, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Commercial Operations, or a related discipline.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Technology, Commercial Operations, ERP, or transformation roles within complex enterprise environments.
  • Strong SAP experience, preferably within SAP S/4HANA Sales and Distribution / Sales Order Management, Order-to-Cash, Customer Service, or Commercial process areas.
  • Proven experience in business requirements analysis, process mapping, solution definition, and functional specification development.
  • Demonstrated ability to design scalable, sustainable, and compliant technology solutions across complex business and system landscapes.
  • Experience supporting or managing end-to-end solution implementation lifecycles, including design, build, test, deployment, and hypercare.
  • Strong understanding of integration dependencies across Commercial, Supply Chain, Finance, Master Data, eCommerce, CRM, reporting, and external partner interfaces.
  • Experience defining and supporting test strategies, test cases, defect resolution, and quality assurance activities.
  • Experience working within regulated environments, with exposure to GxP, SOP, data integrity, audit, and compliance standards.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, communication, influencing, planning, presentation, and documentation skills.
  • Languages: English business fluent.
  • Desirable: Experience with global transformation or large-scale SAP S/4HANA programs, life sciences/pharmaceuticals, customer order management, pricing, billing, returns, EDI, customer portals, master data, global templates, process harmonization, country deployments, and cross-regional stakeholder groups.x`
